Digvijaya Singh uses termite analogy to target RSS and says “Threat to Hindu Religion” is false propaganda
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Monday used the “termite” analogy to target Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the BJP’s ideological mentor, who he believes is damaging the entire system. In talks with reporters, Singh also targeted the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, and said his speeches were only peppered with divisive references such as “Hindu-Muslim” and “Shamshan-Kabristan”.
Congressman Rajya Sabha attacked RSS saying it was like “dimak” (termite) silently damaging a house or household items. RSS also works discreetly and damages the entire system.
“I know that I am badly abused to compare RSS to termites. But I didn’t mention RSS termite. I have said that the character of the ideology that is tacitly damaging the entire system of the country is termites, ”added Singh.
Regarding the upcoming elections in the BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, he said: “You (media) people have to listen to the speeches of Yogi Adityanath. Did you hear other expressions in it than Hindu-Muslim, Hindustan-Pakistan or Shamshan-Kabristan (cremation place and cemeteries)? ”
Singh claimed that a false narrative was being created to get the message across that the Hindu religion was under threat.
“This is done so that fascist ideology can be promoted and money can be earned through political office,” he claimed.
Singh said that the Hindu religion has never been in danger even during the hundred years of rule among Muslims and “Christian British”.
