Health workers in Pattaya are fighting dengue fever

Pattaya health workers meet with residents of Soi Kophai community to advise them on how to avoid dengue fever.

Pattaya health workers gave discounts and information to residents of South Pattaya to help stop the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

Public health workers and village health workers went door-to-door in Soi Kophai Township on November 23, handing out brochures on dengue, zika and chikungunya, and how mosquitoes can spread the disease.

Residents were advised to ensure that there was no standing water on their property or to cover buckets and storage containers to prevent mosquitoes from laying eggs.

Water can be treated with Abate. Residents should also keep their property clean of trash and hidden dark areas where the insects can nest. Anyone wishing to have the health department spray pesticides can call extension 038-253-100. 4081
